Access Lens — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026 · Prometheus Agency

The short version: Access Lens stores no data — none. The app reads Confluence permission information at the moment you view it, renders it on screen, and keeps nothing. All processing happens inside Atlassian's cloud infrastructure ("Runs on Atlassian"). Your data never reaches any server operated by us or by third parties.

1. What the app accesses

When an authorized user opens Access Lens, the app reads — on behalf of that user and with their permissions — the following information from your Confluence site: space permissions, space role assignments, page restrictions, page titles, and the display names of the users and groups that appear in those permissions. This is the minimum needed to show who can access what.

2. What the app stores

Nothing. Access Lens has no database and no storage of any kind. Information is processed in memory to render the current view and discarded immediately. The app sets no cookies and includes no analytics or tracking of any kind.

3. Where processing happens

Access Lens is built on Atlassian Forge and is eligible for Atlassian's Runs on Atlassian program: all app code executes on Atlassian's own infrastructure, and the app makes no network requests outside Atlassian (no data egress). Data residency follows your Atlassian organization's settings.

4. Personal data and GDPR

The only personal data the app touches are user display names and group names shown in the access tables, read live from your Confluence site and never retained. Because nothing is stored, there is nothing for us to rectify, export or erase — those rights are exercised directly in your Atlassian organization, which remains the data controller. We act as a processor with no data retention.

5. CSV exports

The "Download CSV" feature generates the file locally in your browser. The export never passes through our systems.

6. Changes

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and the app's Marketplace listing before the change takes effect.
